“Cast not pearls before swine” means…

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” - Matthew 7:6

...means...

I’m not above anyone.

If I think a person is beneath me (like a dog or swine), I will not be able to help them with my “holiness” (helpfulness) or “pearls” (gifts, wisdom). Because I’m out of my mind.

If I don’t consider this person my absolute equal - or more accurately, myself projected - I’m confused. So trying to save or fix or teach or “help” them (offering them my pearls) will be futile because the person who needs saving or teaching or helping in that situation is me.

We are all one. We are already and always on the same level. Because we are all of the same level, because we are the same one thing.

And until I clear that up, my offering will be as ridiculous as a drowning person trying to “save” the lifeguard. I can rightly expect my “help” or “wisdom” to be rejected, and through all my flailing I might find myself getting punched in the nose.
