Because joy comes from a complete understanding of pain, which comes from truly knowing pain.
It comes from going all the way through pain, coming out on the other side and realizing there was never a problem.
That there was never a problem.
When I understand my pain this way, I realize that my pain will never be a problem, except in fleeting, unsustainable moments of confusion in what I’m thinking and believing.
That is true joy.
And how can anything threaten that?
