Okay me: Imagine a moment when you’re experiencing anxiety. Get the picture in your mind. Feel the anxiety.
Now imagine that in the very next instant, ALL OF TIME WILL STOP FOREVER. Completely. Never to return. And in its place, the flow of time will be replaced by nothing but blissful peace and a sense of perfect oneness with all things.
If you KNEW that in the next instant, time would stop and your troubles would never materialize, would this instant have an ounce of anxiety in it?
Now imagine that this is already your reality.
Because it is.
Time is an illusion. Separation is an illusion.
We are always at one with everything.
Reality is perfect loving stillness, happening now.
I just get distracted sometimes by an imagination that projects pasts and futures that don’t exist.
Past and future are where all my anxiety lies.
Here and now (i.e. in reality), there is nothing to worry about, nothing to guard against, nothing to fix.
Without a past or future (i.e. in reality) there is only the beautiful gift of what is.
